Your trips, your device.

What we collect

Avare itself collects nothing. There is no Avare server. There is no Avare account. Everything you type, photograph, or save inside the app stays on your iPhone in an encrypted-at-rest local database.

Data stored locally on your device

• Trips, destinations, dates, notes you create
• Expenses and budgets you record
• Packing lists and travel documents you add
• Photos you attach to trips (kept inside the app sandbox)
• App preferences (language, currency, theme)

This data never leaves your device unless you choose to share it (e.g., AirDrop, share sheet, manual export).

Subscription processing

Avare offers an optional in-app subscription called Avare+. To process subscriptions, we use two third parties:

Apple In-App Purchase

All purchases go through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles your payment, receipt, and refund. Apple’s privacy practices are described in the Apple Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to verify and manage your subscription receipt. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated, anonymous ID linked to your purchase — it does not receive your name, email, Apple ID, or any trip data. You can read RevenueCat’s privacy policy on their website.

What we do not do

• No analytics or behavior tracking SDKs
• No advertising identifiers (IDFA) collected
• No third-party login (Google, Facebook, etc.)
• No cross-app or cross-site tracking
• No selling, sharing, or renting of any data

Permissions the app requests

• Photos / Files — only when you choose to attach a document or trip photo. Files stay inside the app.
• Notifications — optional reminders for upcoming trips. You can disable them in iOS Settings at any time.

Children’s privacy

Avare is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content, but it is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect any data from children, because we do not knowingly collect data from anyone.

Your rights

Because all your data is on your device, you control it directly:

• Access / export — open the app and view everything; export by sharing.
• Deletion — delete an item inside the app, or uninstall Avare to remove all local data.
• Subscription — manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of the page and, where appropriate, surface the change inside the app.
